Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Class A Boiler Operator / Watch Keeper to operate and monitor the boiler system at our fish meal manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for safe boiler operation, routine monitoring, and ensuring uninterrupted steam supply for plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the boiler and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain required steam pressure and ensure continuous steam supply to the plant.
- Monitor boiler temperature, pressure, water level, fuel consumption, and other operating parameters.
- Conduct regular inspection of boiler, pumps, valves, pipelines, gauges, and safety devices.
- Carry out routine boiler operations, including start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and report major faults immediately.
- Maintain proper boiler logbooks, operating records, and shift reports.
- Ensure proper water treatment and maintain boiler water quality as required.
- Coordinate with the production and maintenance teams during plant operations.
- Follow all applicable boiler safety procedures, statutory requirements, and company safety policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around the boiler area.
- Attend to emergency situations and take appropriate action to ensure safe operation.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Boiler Operator / Boiler Attendant qualification and certification as applicable.
- Previous experience operating boilers in an industrial or manufacturing plant.
- Experience in a fish meal, feed mill, food processing, rendering, or similar process industry will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of boiler operation, safety procedures, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency situations.
- Responsible, disciplined, and safety-conscious approach to work.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
