Position: Accounts Head

Company Overview:TRANSWAYS Realty is a respected name in the real estate development sector, known for delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects in Kolkata. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Account Head to oversee and manage our finance department, ensuring compliance with our financial, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Management:
- Supervise all accounting activities, including maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and closing books monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Taxation:
- Manage tax planning and compliance activities for the company, including filing returns and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Work closely with external tax consultants during audits and assessments.
- Management Information Systems (MIS):
- Develop and implement MIS reports that provide management with insights into the company's financial performance.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue growth.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify areas of concern.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead a team of accountants and finance staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during financial reviews and inspections.
- Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal control policies and implement improvements where needed to strengthen the company's financial integrity.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, implementing them as necessary.
- Reporting and Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and analysis to the CFO and other senior management.
- Address queries from internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an accounting or financial management role, preferably in the real estate sector.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing financial challenges.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
Work Conditions:
- Regular travel between company offices or project sites may be required.
