Job Summary
The Chief Specialist – Technical Information Systems is responsible for the governance, administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of technical information systems that support aircraft maintenance, engineering, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the integrity, availability, and accuracy of technical data, maintenance documentation, engineering records, and digital technical publications while supporting operational efficiency and airworthiness requirements.
The position works closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO), Flight Operations, OEMs, regulatory authorities, and IT to ensure technical information systems meet operational and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the administration and continuous improvement of aviation technical information systems and engineering databases.
- Manage electronic technical publications, maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring diagrams, and aircraft documentation.
- Ensure timely incorporation and distribution of revisions to OEM manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and other technical publications.
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, security, and accessibility of engineering and maintenance data.
- Oversee configuration management of technical documentation and ensure document version control.
- Support maintenance planning, reliability, engineering, and CAMO functions through effective technical information management.
- Coordinate implementation of new digital technologies, document management systems, and technical information platforms.
- Liaise with aircraft manufacturers, OEMs, software vendors, and regulatory authorities regarding technical data requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, including ICAO, EASA, FAA, and local Civil Aviation Authority requirements.
- Develop and maintain procedures, standards, and policies governing technical information management.
- Support audits conducted by aviation authorities, customers, and quality assurance teams.
- Analyze system performance and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead system upgrades, data migration projects, and implementation of new technical information solutions.
- Train and mentor engineering and maintenance personnel on technical information systems and digital documentation tools.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure cybersecurity, system availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for technical information systems.
- Monitor system performance, licensing, vendor support agreements, and service-level compliance.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators related to technical information management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in aviation maintenance, project management, IT service management, or information management are desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in aviation engineering, maintenance, CAMO, or technical records management.
- At least 3–5 years in a leadership or specialist role managing aviation technical information systems.
- Experience working with commercial airlines, MRO organizations, aircraft manufacturers, or aviation regulatory authorities.
- Proven experience managing electronic technical publications and maintenance information systems.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per month
