JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Accounts Manager is a critical leadership role in the dealership's finance and compliance function. Responsible forend-to-end accounting operations of the BharatBenz dealership — including vehicle sale accounting, service billing, parts billing,GST compliance, TDS filing, OEM financial reporting, vendor reconciliation, banking operations, payroll processing, and monthly MIS preparation. The ideal candidate combines strong automobile dealership accounting experience with high compliance standards and DMS-based financial management capability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage complete dealership accounting operations — vehicle sales ledger, service revenue, parts billing, and inter-department reconciliation
- Ensure timely and accurate GST compliance — GSTR-1, GSTR-3B monthly filing, GSTR-9 annual return; manage ITC reconciliation with GSTR-2B
- Handle TDS deduction, payment, and quarterly return filing (Form 24Q, 26Q) as per Income Tax Act requirements
- Manage OEM (BharatBenz / DICV) financial reporting — vehicle purchase ledger, credit note accounting, scheme and incentive accounting
- Coordinate with BharatBenz for floor plan settlement, vehicle invoice accounting, and monthly OEM statement reconciliation
- Prepare and submit monthly MIS to Dealer Principal — P&L, cash flow, vehicle-wise gross margin, service revenue report, parts revenue
- Handle all banking operations — fund transfers, NEFT/RTGS, bank statement reconciliation, overdraft / CC facility management
- Process monthly payroll — salary disbursement, PF/ESI deductions, statutory compliance
- Manage vendor ledger reconciliation — parts suppliers, service vendors, consumables, and logistics
- Coordinate with the internal auditor and statutory auditor — provide required documentation for monthly and annualaudits
- Maintain all vouchers, bills, receipts, and financial records in an audit-ready condition at all times
- Ensure dealership accounting is fully segregated from the parent company (Devkrishna Engicons) construction accounts
- Oversee Accounts Executive's daily work — supervise voucher entries, billing, and petty cash management.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong automobile dealership accounting knowledge — vehicle sale accounting, service billing, OEM financial processes
- Advanced Tally ERP proficiency — Mandatory
- In-depth GST knowledge — filing, ITC reconciliation, e-invoicing — Mandatory
- TDS and payroll compliance experience
- DMS-based financial reporting and accounts reconciliation
- Ability to prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow statements for the dealership
- Strong vendor and bank reconciliation skills
- Minimum 5–10 years of accounting experience — preferably 3+ years specifically in an automobile dealership
- (commercial vehicle preferred)
- BharatBenz, Tata Motors CV, Ashok Leyland, or any authorized HCV dealership accounts experience strongly preferred
- Experience handling OEM ledger (DICV/BharatBenz invoice accounting and credit note processing) is a major advantage
- Experience supporting statutory and internal audit independently
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
- B.Com / M.Com — Mandatory
- CA Inter / CMA Inter — Preferred
- Fully qualified CA or CMA — Strong advantage
SOFTWARE & SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE:
- Tally ERP (Prime / GST version) — Mandatory
- DMS (Dealer Management System) — Mandatory; BharatBenz DMS preferred
- MS Excel — Advanced level for MIS and reconciliation — Mandatory
- GST portal, TDS portal, Income Tax portal — Regular working knowledg
- Basic email for OEM and bank communication
