We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Head/Manager to lead our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of plant operations, ensuring seamless production, uncompromising quality, and on-time delivery. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a large blue-collar workforce while maintaining excellent relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce & Labor Management
- Team Leadership: Direct and motivate a large team of blue-collar employees, shift supervisors, and production staff to achieve daily production targets.
- Labor Relations: Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment. Handle grievances efficiently and maintain healthy relations with laborers to minimize turnover and absenteeism.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize shift planning, manpower allocation, and overtime to ensure peak operational efficiency without compromising worker safety.
Customer Management & Timely Delivery
- On-Time Fulfillment: Oversee production planning and supply chain coordination to ensure 100% on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery to all customers.
- Customer Relations: Act as a key point of contact for major customer inquiries, production updates, and escalations regarding order status.
- Demand Alignment: Closely align plant output with fluctuating customer demands and sales forecasts.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Quality Assurance: Enforce strict quality control standards across all stages of production to ensure the final product meets or exceeds customer specifications.
- Defect Reduction: Implement continuous improvement practices (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to minimize waste, rework, and customer rejections.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the plant complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry-specific quality certifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional people management skills with a strong track record of leading blue-collar workers and managing labor dynamics.
- Deep understanding of production planning, quality management systems (QMS), and supply chain logistics.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
