- Network technician who supports Network infrastructure for retail customers across globe having 5 to 8+ years of experience in networking
- Monitor network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, servers) using tools like SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, Nagios, Zabbix, or PRTG Network Monitor
- Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues (latency, packet loss, downtime)
- Configure alerts and notifications for system anomalies
- Analyze logs and performance metrics to identify trends and potential issues
- Ensure network uptime and service availability (24/7 monitoring in NOC environments)
- Work with IT teams to resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Generate reports on network performance and incidents
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and monitoring processes
- Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards
- Expertise in Network Monitoring tools
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
- Familiarity with monitoring protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, ICMP)
- Experience with monitoring tools (mentioned above)
- Basic understanding of:
- Wireshark (packet analysis)
- Splunk or similar log tools
- Understanding of Linux/Windows systems
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) is a plus
