Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Store Management
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, food supplies, beverages, housekeeping items, engineering consumables, and general supplies.
- Verify deliveries against Purchase Orders (POs), invoices, and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software and manual registers where required.
- Issue materials to various departments against approved requisitions.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and preservation of inventory following FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification and physical inventory audits.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
Food & Beverage Store Management
- Manage inventory for restaurant, bar, kitchen, banquet, and café operations.
- Monitor stock movement of food ingredients, beverages, liquor, wines, spirits, mixers, and disposable items.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards during storage.
- Maintain temperature-sensitive inventory as per hospitality standards.
- Track expiry dates and minimize wastage through effective stock rotation.
Housekeeping & Engineering Stores
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping chemicals, linen, guest amenities, toiletries, cleaning equipment, uniforms, and consumables.
- Issue engineering tools, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and maintenance consumables.
- Ensure critical maintenance items are always available.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain GRNs, stock registers, issue slips, return notes, stock adjustment records, and inventory reports.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for shortages and urgent requirements.
- Support internal and external inventory audits.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and statutory requirements.
Coordination
- Work closely with Purchase, Kitchen, Restaurant, Bar, Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Finance departments.
- Assist in vendor coordination during material receipt.
- Resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or damaged goods.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory and warehouse management.
- Understanding of hospitality store operations.
- Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, stock reconciliation, and inventory control.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Diploma in Hotel Management or Material Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience as a Store Executive, Store Keeper, or Inventory Executive.
- Prior experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, bar, banquet, or hospitality industry is preferred.
