Lead break resolution and controls: Identify and resolve client data, trade, and reconciliation inconsistencies. Produce reports and keep control documentation aligned with internal policies and client requirements. Collaborate with Operations leadership, IT, Trade Support, custodians, Brokers, and portfolio managers to remove barriers and prevent recurring issues. Manage team questions and perform review procedures.

Complete accurate and timely account reconciliations: Guarantee accounts are finished correctly and on time. Carry out detailed investigation of any anomalies found. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of inputs, dependencies, and data transfers among systems and custodians. Foster open communication with internal and external contacts to aid quick resolution.

Develop product/process understanding: Acquire knowledge of PGI products, team procedures, and client requirements through independent learning, training sessions, and involvement in continuous investment operations activities.

Continuously improve efficiency: Expand knowledge of financial markets and security/asset-class data. Proactively employ more efficient ways to resolve breaks.
Qualifications:

Education & experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business. 7–9 years of experience in investment/mutual fund operations or a related field.

Domain knowledge: Strong understanding of capital markets and investment banking/asset management operations relevant to reconciliations.

Core capabilities: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; ability to collaborate closely with Operations, IT, Trade Support, custodians, Brokers, and portfolio managers.

Conduct & compliance: Provide timely, polite, and high-quality service while maintaining reasonable costs. Act with integrity following relevant laws/regulations and company guidelines (Corporate Code of Ethics, employee handbook, compliance, and operations procedures).

Hands-on experience in asset management reconciliations, including Market Value Reconciliations, break investigation, and review activities.

Ability to interpret and document data flows and dependencies across custodian, trade support, and portfolio/accounting systems. This job reports to Operations Leader.

Verified skill in mentoring and educating teams, spotting problems, formulating training plans, and managing sessions to boost quality and consistency.

Risk identification and mitigation in daily reconciliation processes with a continuous improvement approach.

Tools/Tech: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots), SharePoint (standard business operations tools), reconciliation platform (e.g., DUCO/TLM), custodian portals, and trade support/portfolio accounting systems.

Handle reconciliation activities for medium-complex accounts, focusing on Market Value Reconciliations. Detect and resolve client data, trade, and reconciliation inconsistencies following policy and client requirements.

Prepare clear, timely reports and retain control evidence according to internal policies, audit expectations, and client needs.

Work together across departments with senior staff in Operations, Information Technology (IT), Trade Support, custodians, Brokers, and portfolio managers to collect information, resolve issues, and prevent future incidents.

Assist and lead the team by handling inquiries, performing review activities, preparing training plans, and providing training sessions to boost capability and consistency.

Meet delivery deadlines; detect risk areas and carry out countermeasures; build stronger connections with internal and external collaborators to quicken issue resolution.

Acquire and apply product/process knowledge across Principal Global Investors (PGI), covering inputs, dependencies, and data flows; use insights to encourage ongoing improvement.
