Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing psychological interventions for children with developmental, behavioral, emotional, and learning concerns. The psychologist will work closely with parents, caregivers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and positive developmental outcomes for every child.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and developmental evaluations.
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological assessment tools.
- Identify cognitive, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning concerns.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports with clinical observations, findings, and recommendations.
- Monitor patient progress through periodic reassessments.
Therapy & Intervention
- Conduct individual counseling and psychological therapy sessions for children.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for behavioral, emotional, and psychological concerns.
- Provide behavior modification strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
- Track therapy outcomes and modify intervention plans as needed.
Parent & Family Counseling
- Conduct counseling sessions with parents and caregivers.
- Educate families about the child's diagnosis, progress, and intervention strategies.
- Guide parents on home-based activities and behavior management techniques.
- Address parental concerns and provide emotional support throughout the therapy process.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate patient records, therapy notes, assessment reports, and progress documentation.
- Prepare monthly and periodic progress reports.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information in accordance with professional ethics and organizational policies.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and clinical records.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Coordinate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Special Educators, Physiotherapists, and other professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning meetings.
- Refer cases to senior clinicians or specialists whenever required.
- Work collaboratively to achieve holistic developmental goals for each child.
Professional Responsibilities
- Stay updated with the latest psychological assessment tools, research, and therapeutic techniques.
- Attend training programs, workshops, seminars, and continuing education sessions.
- Follow ethical guidelines and professional standards of psychological practice.
- Maintain a child-friendly, empathetic, and professional approach at all times.
- Contribute to awareness programs, workshops, and community outreach activities organized by the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Psychology (Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Applied Psychology, or an equivalent recognized qualification).
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral concerns will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent counseling, communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
