Job Description:
Core Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and interpret market, customer, and competitive dynamics to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Deliver ongoing competitive intelligence on HVACR peers, including product portfolios, pricing strategies, value propositions, business models, and go-to-market approaches.

Provide business inputs to help determine data flow from surveys, secondary sources through to visualization dashboards.

Develop executive-ready outputs, including dashboards, briefings, and strategic summaries tailored to leadership audiences.

Translate disparate data sources such as market research, financials, technical specifications, and third-party intelligence (quantitative and qualitative) to convert them into integrated, actionable insights.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align intelligence outputs with business priorities and strategic questions.

Design, interpret, or synthesize research (primary and secondary) to evaluate customer needs, market trends, and emerging threats or opportunities.

Apply structured strategic frameworks (e.g., SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces) to assess market dynamics, competitive positioning, risks, and growth opportunities.

Maintain structured market and competitor intelligence repositories to support consistent, repeatable insight generation.

Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, technology shifts, and best practices in market and competitive intelligence.

Leverage AI to optimize work and derive insights
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years proven experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, strategy, or advisory roles, either in-house or within a consulting environment; MBA preferred.

Strong ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear, executive-ready insights and narratives.

Proficiency with analytics and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or equivalent tools.

Solid financial acumen, including interpretation of P&L statements, balance sheets, and business performance drivers.

Ability to understand and contextualize technical product specifications and translate them into business and competitive implications.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering insights to senior stakeholders.

Familiarity with competitive databases, and internal knowledge systems.

Strong analytical judgment, structured and critical thinking, and problem-solving capability.

Understanding of AI tools and processes to aid research and analysis
