Purpose of the Role
To ensure timely, accurate, and efficient cutting of EPS (Thermocol) sheets as per customer requirements and to supervise the dispatch process, ensuring that all orders are completed, packed, and dispatched according to schedule while maintaining quality and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Sheet Cutting
- Review daily production and dispatch schedules.
- Plan cutting activities according to order priority.
- Ensure correct dimensions, thickness, density, and quantity as per customer specifications.
- Optimize sheet utilization to minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with the production department to ensure continuous material availability.
- Maintain proper identification of cut materials.
2. Dispatch Management
- Verify finished goods against dispatch orders before loading.
- Ensure correct packing, labeling, and documentation of all dispatches.
- Coordinate vehicle loading to prevent damage during transportation.
- Ensure dispatches are completed as per delivery schedules.
- Maintain dispatch records and delivery challans.
3. Quality Control
- Inspect cut sheets for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Reject or segregate non-conforming materials.
- Ensure customer specifications are followed without deviation.
4. Inventory Control
- Monitor stock of finished sheets and cut materials.
- Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) wherever applicable.
- Report shortages, excess stock, and damaged materials immediately.
- Maintain accurate daily stock movement records.
5. Team Supervision
- Allocate work to cutting machine operators and helpers.
- Monitor productivity and ensure disciplined work practices.
- Train workers on proper cutting techniques and material handling.
- Ensure shift handovers are completed properly.
6. Machine & Equipment Monitoring
- Ensure cutting machines are operated safely.
- Report maintenance requirements immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness of cutting equipment and work area.
7. Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with factory safety procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and obstruction-free work areas.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily production and dispatch reports.
- Record material consumption and wastage.
- Report pending orders and production delays.
- Maintain cutting and dispatch registers.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time dispatch percentage.
- Cutting accuracy.
- Material utilization and wastage percentage.
- Order completion rate.
- Dispatch accuracy (zero wrong dispatches).
- Customer complaint rate related to cutting or dispatch.
- Team productivity.
- Safety compliance.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of EPS (Thermocol) sheet cutting processes.
- Ability to read production schedules and dimensions.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP, or production software preferred).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Graduate preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or packaging industries is preferred.
Authority
- Allocate manpower within the cutting and dispatch section.
- Stop dispatch of non-conforming products.
- Report quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate directly with Production, Stores, Sales, and Logistics departments to ensure smooth order execution.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
