We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technician-Haematology to join our healthcare team at Manipal Hospitals. The primary responsibilities include performing various laboratory tests related to hematology, preparing specimens, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and assisting physicians in diagnosing and monitoring patient conditions based on hematological assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and specialized hematological tests, including complete blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood smears.
- Prepare and process patient specimens with precision and accuracy.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Document test results and maintain accurate records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality control protocols in the laboratory environment.
- Assist in the development and improvement of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and training sessions to keep up with advancements in the field of haematology.
