Job SummaryThe Sports / Physical Education Teacher designs and executes structured physical fitness programs across all grade levels. The role focuses on developing student fitness, promoting a healthy lifestyle, cultivating sportsmanship, and preparing athletes for competitive tournaments.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Implementation: Implement the physical education curriculum in alignment with CBSE’s Health and Physical Education (HPE) guidelines.
- Sports Coaching: Train students in specific indoor/outdoor games such as basketball, football, cricket, badminton, athletics, chess, and yoga.
- Tournament Organization: Plan and execute internal annual sports meets and coordinate participation in CBSE Cluster, Zonal, and National events.
- Fitness Tracking: Monitor students' physical development metrics, posture, body mass index (BMI), and general well-being.
- Safety & Inventory: Manage school sports equipment, ensure regular upkeep of ground facilities, and enforce strict safety standards.
- Wellness Promotion: Collaborate with the school wellness committee to educate students on nutrition, health habits, and first aid.
Qualifications & Eligibility (CBSE Norms)
- Academic & Professional Degrees:
- For PRT/TGT Grade PET: Graduate Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
- Note: A Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) is required if handling Senior Secondary Classes 11-12.
- Desirable Experience: Specialized certification in a particular sport, NCC "C" Certificate, or past state/national level representation.
- Age Limit: Generally up to 35 years.
Pay: ₹20,227.04 - ₹39,283.75 per month
