Bookie Boyz Studio (BB Studioes) is a creative agency/studio specializing in high-quality visual storytelling, branded content, commercials, digital campaigns, and creative films. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Director of Photography (DOP) to join our creative team and bring compelling visual narratives to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the visual execution of video shoots, ensuring high production quality and creative excellence.
- Collaborate closely with creative directors, producers, editors, and clients to understand project vision and objectives.
- Plan camera setups, lighting design, framing, composition, and shot execution.
- Operate professional cinema cameras, lenses, stabilizers, drones, and lighting equipment.
- Supervise camera crew, gaffers, and technical production teams during shoots.
- Ensure consistency in visual style, mood, and storytelling across projects.
- Participate in pre-production activities including recce, shot planning, mood boards, and technical discussions.
- Manage on-set technical troubleshooting and maintain production timelines.
- Stay updated with industry trends, filmmaking techniques, and emerging technologies.
- Assist in post-production discussions regarding color grading, visuals, and final output quality.
- Bring fresh creative ideas, innovative concepts, and visual enhancements to projects.
- Proactively contribute new approaches in cinematography, lighting, shot execution, and storytelling to elevate overall production quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Director of Photography (DOP), Cinematographer, or similar role in a creative agency, production house, or studio.
- Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, camera movement, and visual storytelling.
- Hands-on experience with professional cameras such as Sony, RED, Blackmagic, Canon Cinema, or ARRI systems.
- Knowledge of lighting equipment, grip gear, and audio coordination.
- Strong creative eye for composition, color, and cinematic aesthetics.
- Ability to think creatively and contribute innovative ideas during production planning and execution.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to travel and work on outdoor/on-location shoots when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Film Production, Cinematography, Media, or related field.
- Experience in commercial ads, branded content, music videos, fashion shoots, or digital campaigns.
- Basic understanding of editing workflows and post-production processes.
