About the Role
We are looking for a strong and experienced Purchase Head with excellent price negotiation and commercial negotiation skills to independently manage our complete procurement function.
The ideal candidate should be confident in negotiating with vendors and suppliers, getting the best possible prices and payment terms, and building long-term supplier relationships.
Our business operates across Health & Hygiene, Nutraceuticals, and Vending Machine Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently manage the complete purchase and procurement function.
* Negotiate strongly with vendors and suppliers on price, payment terms, credit period, MOQ, delivery timelines, quality, and other commercial terms.
* Obtain the best possible rates without compromising on quality.
* Compare multiple vendor quotations and negotiate to achieve maximum cost savings.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
* Identify and negotiate with new vendors for better pricing and quality.
* Regularly review market prices and supplier rates.
* Negotiate annual/long-term contracts and commercial agreements.
* Handle vendor discussions related to price revisions, quality issues, shortages, delays, and payment terms.
* Find alternative suppliers to improve pricing and reduce procurement costs.
* Coordinate with management for approval of major purchases and commercial deals.
* Coordinate with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams for purchase requirements.
* Ensure timely availability of products, raw materials, packaging materials, and other business requirements.
* Maintain vendor records, quotation comparisons, purchase orders, and pricing data.
* Prepare purchase reports and cost-saving/savings analysis for management.
* Ensure all purchases are within approved budgets.
* Lead and manage the purchase team, if applicable.
Must-Have Skills

The candidate must be able to:
* Negotiate aggressively but professionally to achieve the best commercial terms.
* Challenge vendor pricing and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
* Understand market rates and supplier margins.
* Negotiate price, credit period, MOQ, payment terms, delivery, discounts, and other commercial conditions.
* Handle high-value negotiations confidently.
* Build strong vendor relationships while maintaining commercial discipline.

Qualification & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 5–10 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
* Candidates with strong experience in commercial negotiations and vendor management will be preferred.
* Experience in FMCG, Healthcare, Nutraceuticals, Health & Hygiene, Manufacturing, Facility Management, or Vending Solutions will be an advantage.

We are looking for a person who is commercially smart, confident, sharp in negotiation, and capable of independently handling vendors and procurement decisions.
Important: Candidates whose experience is limited to creating purchase orders and routine procurement work, without strong price and commercial negotiation experience, will not be preferred.
Salary: As per experience and skills.

Pay: ₹10,872.30 - ₹37,151.12 per month
