Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring jewellery manufacturing projects from design approval to final delivery. The role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards while coordinating with Production, CAD, CAM, Casting, Assembly, Polishing, Quality Control, Procurement, and Dispatch teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop project plans, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate all manufacturing stages from order confirmation to final dispatch.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Allocate resources effectively to achieve production targets.
- Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
Production Coordination
- Coordinate with Design, CAD, CAM, Wax, Casting, Filing, Assembly, Setting, Polishing, Rhodium, QC, and Packing departments.
- Ensure smooth workflow between departments.
- Resolve production bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
- Monitor daily production status and update management.
Client & Order Management
- Track customer orders and ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Sales and Merchandising regarding order priorities.
- Communicate project status and expected completion dates.
- Handle urgent or special customer requirements.
Quality Management
- Ensure products meet company quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team to reduce defects and rework.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring quality issues.
Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor project costs and minimize wastage.
- Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization.
- Control production losses and improve productivity.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Project Reports.
- Maintain project schedules, production records, and documentation.
- Track project KPIs and present updates to senior management.
Team Management
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct regular production review meetings.
- Motivate team members and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Jewellery Manufacturing.
- Minimum 3 years in Project Management or Production Planning.
- Experience in gold, diamond, or precious jewellery manufacturing preferred.
