Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will work with individuals who have speech and language disorders, including children and adults. You will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing speech and language disorders, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy to improve communication skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders in individuals of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each client.
- Provide individual and group therapy to improve communication skills, including speech, language, and fluency.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, and educators, to provide a comprehensive support system for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current on best practices in speech therapy.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with individuals with speech and language disorders, including children and adults.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and treatment strategies.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with speech and language disorders.
