Job Responsibilities:
- Create and modify 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD based on tool and die requirements.
- Prepare and optimize Wire Cut (Wire EDM) CNC programs from CAD drawings.
- Operate and program Wire Cut EDM machines for manufacturing precision tool room components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and GD&T specifications.
- Manufacture punches, dies, fixtures, gauges, and other precision tooling used in jewellery manufacturing.
- Select appropriate cutting parameters to achieve high accuracy and superior surface finish.
- Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Coordinate with the Tool Room, Design, and Production teams to ensure timely completion of tooling.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain machine, tooling, and program records while following preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety guidelines, and company SOPs.
- Continuously improve machining processes to reduce cycle time and increase productivity.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (3D).
- Experience in Wire Cut EDM programming and operation.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in jewellery manufacturing tool room will be preferred.
Qualification
- B.Tech in Mechanical, Tool & Die, or related field.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience as a Wire Cut Programmer in a Tool Room, preferably in jewellery manufacturing.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
