Key Responsibilities
- Operate Messer CNC Plasma & Oxyfuel cutting machine safely and efficiently.
- Set up jobs based on production drawings and nesting programs.
- Perform precision plasma and oxyfuel cutting on heavy steel plates.
- Select appropriate consumables and gas parameters for different materials and thicknesses.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and excellent edge quality.
- Monitor machine performance and carry out routine preventive maintenance.
- Inspect finished components as per quality standards.
- Maintain production records and minimize material wastage.
- Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–8 years of experience operating CNC Plasma/Oxyfuel cutting machines.
- Hands-on experience with Messer CNC systems preferred.
- Experience with Hypertherm XPR300 plasma source is highly desirable.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and understand nesting layouts.
- Knowledge of plasma and oxyfuel cutting parameters.
- Familiarity with plate handling using EOT cranes.
- Understanding of quality inspection tools and fabrication tolerances.
- Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
- Experience in heavy steel fabrication, bridge structures, PEB, industrial structures, or large fabrication workshops.
