About the Role
Sharnam Architects is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and support the design and execution teams. The ideal candidate should have strong drafting skills, a good understanding of construction drawings, and the ability to coordinate with architects and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Develop working drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and submission drawings.
- Modify and update drawings based on design revisions and site conditions.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and site engineers.
- Prepare detailed joinery, furniture, staircase, toilet, and ceiling drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards, building codes, and client requirements.
- Maintain drawing records, revisions, and project documentation.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation when required.
- Support site teams by providing technical clarifications and revised drawings.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting/BIM software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings and construction detailing.
- Knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in architectural drafting or interior working drawings.
