Overview:
We are looking for a Test Engineer with an interest in the telecom domain to design, execute, and document test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing for OSS/BSS and network platform engagements. This is a hands-on testing role — you will work under the guidance of the Test Lead to validate features against requirements, log and track defects, and contribute to growing test automation coverage.
Responsibilities:

Analyze business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios.

Prepare and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Identify, document, track, and retest software defects.
-
Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve defects.
-
Maintain test data and testing environments.
-
Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing inputs.
-
Perform API testing and database validation where required.
-
Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.
-
Execute regression test suites for application releases.
-
Report test execution status, defects, risks, and testing progress.
-
Support UAT and production validation activities.
-
Perform root-cause analysis for recurring defects.
-
Ensure testing activities are completed within project timelines.
-
Follow QA standards, processes, and best practices.
-
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

3-7 years of experience in manual and/or automated software testing.
-
Exposure to telecom domains such as OSS/BSS (order management, service assurance, billing/mediation) or network-related applications is a plus.

Working knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, or similar) and scripting basics (Java/Python).

Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).

Experience with test management/defect-tracking tools (JIRA, Zephyr, ALM, or similar).

Basic understanding of SQL for data validation during testing.
-
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices.

Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear defect-reporting/documentation habits.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
