Operations Manager Job Role
The Operations manager is responsible for the overall operations of the resort, including accommodation, guest services, food and beverage operations, housekeeping, maintenance, staff management, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Experience
Ensure guests receive excellent service throughout their stay.
Handle guest complaints and special requests.
Monitor guest feedback and reviews.
Maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
2. Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise employees.
Prepare duty schedules and allocate responsibilities.
Conduct performance evaluations.
Ensure staff follow resort policies and standards.
3. Operations Management
Oversee daily resort operations.
Coordinate among front office, housekeeping, restaurant, maintenance, and security.
Ensure all departments work smoothly together.
Monitor occupancy and guest activities.
4. Housekeeping & Maintenance
Ensure cottages, rooms, and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance.
Monitor landscaping, gardens, pools, and recreational facilities.
5. Financial Management
Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Control operating costs and wastage.
Approve purchases and vendor payments.
Prepare operational and financial reports.
6. Inventory & Procurement
Manage stock of housekeeping supplies, food, beverages, and guest amenities.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
Maintain inventory records.
7. Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
Implement emergency procedures.
Maintain security and guest safety.
8. Sales & Business Development
Support marketing campaigns and promotions.
Build relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and event organizers.
Increase occupancy and resort revenue.
