The company is expanding its manufacturing facilities, establishing international sourcing operations in China, and building one of India's largest medical manufacturing parks.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Factory Manager who can independently manage manufacturing operations, production planning, quality, inventory, manpower, and continuous process improvement.
Job Summary
The Factory Manager will be responsible for complete factory operations including production, planning, quality control, warehouse management, procurement coordination, maintenance, manpower management, statutory compliance, and achieving monthly production targets.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills and have experience managing manufacturing teams of 50–200 employees.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved on time.
- Improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Monitor assembly lines and fabrication processes.
- Minimize production downtime.
- Improve factory efficiency through Lean Manufacturing principles.
Factory Operations
- Overall responsibility for factory operations.
- Coordinate Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Dispatch departments.
- Monitor machine utilization and workforce productivity.
- Ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Quality Management
- Ensure products comply with CDSCO, BIS, ISO 13485 and internal quality standards.
- Reduce product defects and customer complaints.
- Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Conduct regular internal quality reviews.
Inventory & Warehouse
- Monitor raw material inventory.
- Ensure FIFO implementation.
- Reduce inventory losses.
- Verify stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with purchase department for material planning.
Planning & Procurement
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Review material shortages.
- Support import material planning.
- Coordinate with China sourcing office.
Team Management
- Lead production supervisors and department heads.
- Recruit and train production staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Build a disciplined and high-performance work culture.
Maintenance
- Ensure preventive maintenance of all machinery.
- Minimize machine breakdowns.
- Coordinate with maintenance engineers.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of safety procedures.
- Maintain 5S and workplace cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act regulations.
- Conduct safety training for employees.
Reporting
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports including:
- Production Report
- Rejection Report
- Dispatch Report
- Machine Utilization
- Material Consumption
- Labour Productivity
- Inventory Status
- Pending Orders
- Delivery Schedule
- Cost Analysis
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- MBA (Operations) preferred.
- 8–15 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5 years in Factory Manager or Production Manager role.
- Experience in medical equipment, electronics manufacturing, automotive, electrical equipment, or precision engineering industries preferred.
