Job Description:
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform numerical simulations using tools like LS-Dyna, MSC Dytran, SIM AI/ Physics AI, Nastran, Patran, ANSYS Workbench etc. on all in-house HVAC&R components as part of new product development

Work closely with CAD Designers, CFD, Manufacturing and Sourcing Engineers to solve field issues, identify the critical locations and providing design solutions during early in the design cycle, to verify the structural integrity, reliability of the product

Automate FEA workflow using Python APIs

Perform Static and Dynamic analysis like Crash, Impact, Vibration, Modal, Harmonic, Random vibration, Rotor Dynamics analysis, Handling, Shipping/Transportation analysis using Ansys tools

Perform Impact and Drop analysis using LS Dyna/ MSC Dytran/ Abaqus Explicit.

Write analysis reports and other technical documents.

Short travel to international locations may occur as part of the role.

Perform independent research and create methodologies and standard process documents for simulations
Knowledge and capabilities required:
- Able to independently execute projects with little or no guidance

Strong knowledge of Solid Mechanics and Strength of Materials

Qualifications:
- ME/M.S/M.Tech or above in: Mechanical/Applied Mechanics/Aerospace/Aeronautical/ Any Structures Engineering or related field

Three or more years of experience in Finite Element/ Structural Analysis (FEA), with a strong focus on ANSYS LS-DYNA/ MSC Dytran, Nastran, Patran, Abaqus Explicit, ALTAIR Radioss, CAE Fatigue, nCode, or similar simulation tools

Experience in Crash, Impact, Vibration analysis (Modal, Harmonic, Random Vibrations), Rotor dynamics analysis, Static Structural analysis, Fatigue analysis

Solid theoretical background in Vibrations, Statics and Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, Finite Element Methods, and numerical methods

Additional desirable skills: Executed scripting and machine learning projects in mechanical/structural domain. Created automation tools. Executed FEA projects
