Stratadigm is a two-decade-old specialist training firm serving Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in the Banking and Financial Services sector. We are re-investing in our commercial function and looking for a sharp, self-directed business development professional to own client acquisition and revenue growth within an assigned territory.
This is a hunter role — you will be responsible for the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract, with a mandate to rebuild lapsed relationships and establish new ones with GCCs that need domain-specific training and certifications for their BFSI workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and build a qualified pipeline of GCCs in the BFSI sector operating within your territory — banks, insurance firms, capital markets players, fintech GCCs, and NBFCs with Indian operations.
- Re-engage lapsed and dormant accounts; diagnose why relationships were lost and formulate a win-back approach in coordination with the delivery team.
- Conduct discovery conversations with L&D heads, HR Business Partners, COO offices, and domain leaders to understand skill gaps and training calendars.
- Present and tailor Stratadigm's training portfolio — domain certifications, regulatory compliance programs, and custom learning interventions — to client-specific needs.
- Develop and submit commercial proposals, manage negotiations, and close annual or multi-year training contracts.
- Represent Stratadigm at BFSI industry forums, GCC networking events, NASSCOM sessions, and relevant HR/L&D conclaves to raise visibility.
- Maintain a live CRM record of all accounts, activities, and pipeline stages; provide weekly pipeline and forecast reports to leadership.
- Work closely with the program delivery and content team to ensure client expectations are accurately scoped and commercially viable.
- Gather competitive intelligence — pricing, alternate providers, client feedback — and feed it back into product and pricing decisions.
Candidate Profile
What we're looking for
Experience – PREFERRED NOT MANDATORY
- B2B sales in corporate training, L&D solutions, or professional certification sales
- +Demonstrable experience selling to or working within the BFSI sector — GCCs strongly preferred
- +Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets independently
- +Experience in full-cycle enterprise sales — prospecting, scoping, proposal writing, negotiation, close
Domain Knowledge
- +Working familiarity with BFSI operations — retail banking, trade finance, treasury, risk, compliance, insurance, capital markets
- +Understanding of the GCC ecosystem in India and how L&D decisions are made within them
- +Awareness of industry certifications relevant to BFSI (CISI, ACCA, FRM, CFP, NISM, FPSB etc.) is a strong plus
- +Familiarity with HR/L&D buying cycles, training budgets, and procurement processes
Skills & Capabilities
- +Excellent communication — articulate in both written and spoken English; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
- +Strong consultative selling approach — ability to diagnose needs before pitching solutions
- +Proficiency in using CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, or equivalent) and basic MS Office / Google Workspace
- +Self-managed and target-driven with a structured approach to territory planning
Network & Presence
- +Existing relationships with L&D, HR, or operations leadership within GCCs or large BFSI enterprises in the territory
- +Active on LinkedIn with a credible professional presence in the BFSI or corporate training space
- +Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (30–40% travel expected)
- +Based in — or willing to immediately relocate to — Hyderabad or Delhi/NCR
The right mindset
Hunter, not farmer
You enjoy prospecting, cold outreach, and building new relationships from scratch — not just managing warm accounts
Domain-curious
You invest in understanding the BFSI world and can hold a credible conversation with a Head of L&D or a COO
Entrepreneurial
You can operate independently in a lean, founder-led organisation — comfortable without a large support structure
Relationship-led
You understand that trust-based selling wins in the training space and invest in long-term client relationships
Process-minded
You document meticulously, forecast honestly, and hold yourself accountable to commitments
Resilient
Long sales cycles and slow procurement don't discourage you — you know how to keep momentum
