Job Summary
The High Voltage Testing Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all high voltage (HV) testing activities to ensure compliance with national and international standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements. The role includes managing laboratory operations, leading technical teams, maintaining testing equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting product development and certification.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the High Voltage Testing Laboratory.

Plan, supervise, and execute routine, type, special, and acceptance tests on electrical equipment.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, IS, ANSI, and customer specifications.

Develop and implement testing procedures, quality systems, and laboratory best practices.

Lead, mentor, and evaluate engineers, technicians, and testing personnel.

Review and approve test reports, technical documentation, and certification records.

Ensure calibration, maintenance, and reliability of high-voltage testing equipment.

Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality assurance, certification bodies, and customers.

Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure laboratory compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other applicable quality management systems.

Manage laboratory budgets, resource allocation, and procurement of testing equipment.

Promote and enforce electrical safety procedures and statutory regulations.

Support product qualification, research and development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Participate in customer inspections, audits, and technical discussions.

Monitor laboratory KPIs and prepare management reports.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).

6–10+ years of experience in high-voltage testing or power equipment manufacturing.

Minimum 5 years of leadership or managerial experience.

Strong knowledge of power systems and high-voltage engineering principles.
