Job Title: Research Scientist – Bioinformatics
Education Requirements and experience:
- M. S./Phd in computational chemistry / cheminformatics / computer sciences / statistics / mathematics or a related field
- Demonstrate understanding of biology and chemistry concept.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in bioinformatics / core genetics / cheminformatics / biotechnology or in a similar role.
Key Objectives/ Deliverables:
- The primary role of the research analyst is to do the large-scale data analysis of internally or externally generated in vitro/in vivo data to assist the project or platform teams to understand the experimental results and to make critical decisions to move the projects/platform forward.
- Responsible for the development of computational and data analysis capabilities (Python, R and perl) to support the analysis of RNA molecules and to establish the relationships with in vitro/in vivo potencies and properties.
- Responsible for the integration of data from different organizations and responsible for the creation of detailed report/analysis of the off-target effects and RNASeq data
- Develop the capabilities and create report/analysis of external patent/literature data package in assisting ongoing projects/platforms/initiatives.
- Develop computational capabilities to support data integration and data visualization of ongoing projects.
