About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Website Developer with strong expertise in both WordPress and Shopify. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-performing, responsive, and user-friendly websites while maintaining excellent code quality and attention to detail.
This role requires someone who can work independently, communicate effectively in English, and collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver exceptional websites.
Responsibilities
* Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites.
* Build custom themes, templates, and functionality when required.
* Work with page builders such as Elementor and Gutenberg.
* Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and plugins.
* Optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals.
* Troubleshoot website issues and provide timely fixes.
* Ensure websites are responsive across all devices and browsers.
* Perform regular website maintenance, updates, and security checks.
* Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to implement new features.
* Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in website development.
* Strong experience with WordPress and Shopify (required).
* Proficiency in:
* HTML5
* CSS3
* JavaScript
* PHP
* Liquid (Shopify)
* Experience with custom theme development.
* Familiarity with Git/version control.
* Understanding of technical SEO and website performance optimization.
* Experience integrating payment gateways, CRM systems, and third-party APIs.
* Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex website issues.
* Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Fluent spoken and written English (required).
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with WooCommerce.
* Knowledge of React or modern JavaScript frameworks.
* Experience with Shopify app integrations.
* Basic understanding of UI/UX principles.
* Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
* Experience working in a digital agency environment.
