Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of the entire plant.
- Ensure maximum availability of tea processing, blending, weighing, filling, pouching, cartoning, wrapping, and packing machines.
- Maintain and improve packaging-line equipment, including VFFS/HFFS machines, multihead weighers, conveyors, checkweighers, metal detectors, coding/printing systems, case packers, and related equipment.
- Manage maintenance of tea blending and processing equipment, conveyors, elevators, dust extraction systems, compressors, and material-handling systems.
- Monitor machine breakdowns, downtime, MTBF, MTTR and equipment reliability.
- Develop and implement an effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) calendar and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for repeated and major equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Improve OEE, machine efficiency, line availability, and maintenance productivity.
- Manage electrical systems including HT/LT panels, transformers, MCC/PCC panels, motors, VFDs, control systems, sensors, and PLC-related equipment.
- Ensure reliable operation of utilities such as compressors, DG sets, hot-water systems where applicable, HVAC, refrigeration, water systems, and fire-fighting systems.
- Monitor power, compressed-air, water, fuel, and other utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy reduction.
- Maintain adequate critical spare parts and engineering inventory while controlling inventory costs.
- Coordinate with machine OEMs, contractors, service providers, and vendors for installation, servicing, and troubleshooting.
- Prepare annual maintenance budgets, CAPEX proposals, and maintenance cost-control plans.
- Lead new machinery installation, commissioning, modification, and plant expansion projects.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities through CMMS/ERP or maintenance management systems.
- Maintain equipment history, breakdown reports, PM records, spare-parts consumption, and engineering documentation.
- Train and develop maintenance technicians, electricians, fitters, and operators on basic equipment care and troubleshooting.
- Implement TPM, 5S, Kaizen, autonomous maintenance, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, electrical safety, statutory requirements, GMP, HACCP, food-safety, and company quality standards.
- Ensure maintenance work does not compromise product safety, hygiene, or foreign-material control.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement, and EHS teams.
- Maintain proper safety practices during electrical, mechanical, welding, height, confined-space, and other maintenance activities.
- Participate in internal/external audits and close engineering-related observations within defined timelines.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
