We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Door Design Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Steel Fire Rated Doors, Frames and related door systems, preparing accurate fabrication/shop drawings, and supporting production and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Steel Fire Rated Doors, Door Frames and Door Assemblies as per project requirements.
- Prepare detailed Design, Shop, Fabrication and Assembly Drawings.
- Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD/SolidWorks or similar software.
- Prepare detailed drawings including door sections, elevations, hardware details, profiles, reinforcements and fixing details.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and material specifications.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality and Project teams for design execution.
- Review project drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Modify designs according to site conditions and client/consultant requirements.
- Ensure designs are practical for CNC laser cutting, bending and welding fabrication.
- Assist in developing new fire door designs and improving existing products.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions and technical documents.
- Coordinate with testing/certification requirements for fire-rated door assemblies.
- Provide technical support to the production team during manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Steel Door / Fire Door Design & Fabrication.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks/3D modelling will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication, CNC laser cutting, bending and welding.
- Knowledge of door hardware, locks, hinges, panic bars, closers, seals and other fire-door components.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and preparation of BOM.
- Strong problem-solving and technical drawing skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering discipline.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with experience in Fire Rated Doors, Steel Doors, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Door & Window Manufacturing or Building Materials will be preferred.

Pay: ₹11,134.92 - ₹43,357.41 per month
