Job Summary
The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for process design, optimization, proposal engineering, troubleshooting, commissioning support, and technical guidance for water and wastewater treatment projects. The role involves developing efficient treatment solutions, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and supporting project execution from concept to commissioning.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and optimize water and wastewater treatment processes from conceptual design through implementation.
- Analyze raw water, wastewater, and process input data to finalize suitable treatment schemes based on customer requirements.
- Perform process calculations including tank sizing, hydraulic calculations, pressure requirements, chemical dosing, and equipment sizing.
- Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs), process design calculations, and technical documentation.
- Conduct process simulations and optimize designs considering technical feasibility, operational efficiency, and project cost.
- Review and approve process design modifications and optimization proposals.
- Prepare technical proposals and estimate operating costs for proposed treatment systems.
- Investigate and troubleshoot process-related issues during design, commissioning, and operational stages.
- Prepare process datasheets and design documents for awarded projects.
- Review P&IDs from a process engineering perspective and ensure design compliance.
- Coordinate with instrumentation and automation teams for process control strategies, safety interlocks, and operational optimization.
- Provide technical support to procurement, project execution, commissioning, operation, and maintenance teams.
- Participate in plant commissioning activities and performance trials.
- Analyze operational data from existing installations and recommend process improvements.
- Develop SOPs, operation manuals, and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.
- Train and mentor junior engineers, graduate trainees, and freshers on process engineering principles, software tools, and departmental procedures.
- Support business development and proposal teams with technical inputs and customer discussions when required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), RO Systems, UF Systems, MBR, MBBR, SBR, and ZLD processes.
- Expertise in process calculations, hydraulic design, and equipment sizing.
- Experience in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, and process datasheets.
- Knowledge of process simulation and engineering software.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation abilities.
- Project coordination and team leadership skills.
Experience from : 5 to 7 years
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
