Excavator Operator

Job details

We are looking for Excavator operator for our granite mines

Prior experience in granite Mines and similar setup required

Key Responsibilities

· Operate hydraulic excavators safely and efficiently for overburden removal, excavation, loading, and material handling.

· Load blasted rock, ore, soil, and overburden into dump trucks.

· Carry out excavation according to mine plans and instructions from the supervisor.

· Perform pre-start inspections of the excavator and report defects or abnormalities.

· Monitor machine performance, fuel, hydraulic oil, and other operating parameters.

· Maintain proper bench, pit, and working-area conditions while operating.

· Follow mine safety rules, traffic management procedures, and PPE requirements.

· Avoid damage to mine infrastructure, power lines, pipelines, and other equipment.

· Coordinate with dump-truck drivers, dozer operators, drill operators, and supervisors.

· Maintain accurate machine operating-hour and production records.

· Carry out basic daily maintenance such as greasing, cleaning, and checking fluid levels.

· Stop operations and immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment faults.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Valid heavy-equipment/excavator operator licence or certification as required by local regulations.

· Previous experience operating excavators in open-cast/open-pit mines is preferred.

· Good knowledge of excavator controls and safe operating practices.

· Basic understanding of mine safety procedures.

· Physically fit and safety-conscious.

· Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators.

Typical Experience

2–5 years of excavator operating experience in mining is commonly preferred,

prior experience in operating Hitachi 370 excavators

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
