Job Description - Chief Storytelling Officer (CSO)

About the Role
Shivam Video is seeking a visionary, creative, and strategic Chief Storytelling Officer (CSO) to lead the company's storytelling, brand communication, and narrative strategy. This role is responsible for shaping how the company is perceived by clients, partners, employees, and the industry by transforming business capabilities, innovations, projects, and achievements into compelling stories that inspire trust, build emotional connections, and strengthen the company's market position.
The ideal candidate should possess exceptional expertise in brand storytelling, corporate communications, content strategy, public relations, and audience psychology. They should be capable of developing a consistent brand voice across every touchpoint while positioning Shivam Video as a thought leader and innovator in the audio-visual and event technology industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Storytelling & Narrative Strategy
- Develop and own the company's overall storytelling strategy aligned with business objectives and brand positioning.
- Define the company's brand voice, messaging framework, and communication standards across all platforms.
- Craft compelling narratives around the company's services, innovations, projects, customer success stories, and milestones.
- Ensure consistency in storytelling across marketing, sales, corporate communications, and customer experiences.
2. Corporate Communications & Brand Messaging
- Lead the development of internal and external communication strategies.
- Oversee messaging for company profiles, websites, brochures, presentations, newsletters, and corporate announcements.
- Ensure all communication reflects the company's values, vision, and market leadership.
- Develop communication strategies for product launches, partnerships, business milestones, and organizational initiatives.
3. Thought Leadership & Industry Positioning
- Position the company as an industry thought leader through strategic content and communication initiatives.
- Develop leadership articles, keynote presentations, whitepapers, opinion pieces, and industry insights.
- Support executives with speeches, presentations, and public communication.
- Identify opportunities for media coverage, speaking engagements, awards, and industry recognition.
4. Content Strategy & Brand Communication
- Develop content strategies across digital, social media, video, blogs, case studies, email marketing, and experiential campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to produce engaging, high-impact content.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across all marketing campaigns and customer touchpoints.
- Continuously optimize content strategies based on audience insights and market trends.
5. Client Storytelling & Business Development Support
- Support Sales and Business Development teams by developing compelling narratives for client pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Translate complex AV and event technology solutions into customer-focused stories that communicate value and impact.
- Enhance proposal quality through strategic messaging and storytelling.
- Create case studies and success stories that strengthen client confidence and business credibility.
6. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor content strategists, copywriters, communication specialists, and storytelling professionals.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Creative, Sales, Operations, HR, and Leadership teams to maintain a unified brand voice.
- Establish storytelling frameworks and communication standards across the organization.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
7. Innovation & Audience Engagement
- Stay updated with global trends in storytelling, branding, communication, AI-powered content creation, and audience engagement.
- Explore emerging platforms, technologies, and communication formats that strengthen brand impact.
- Drive innovation in storytelling through immersive content, experiential narratives, and interactive communication.
- Continuously evaluate and improve storytelling effectiveness to strengthen brand perception and customer engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, English, Media, or a related field.
- 10–15+ years of experience in brand communications, storytelling, corporate communications, content strategy, or related leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in brand storytelling, strategic communication, corporate messaging, and thought leadership.
- Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with PR, media relations, executive communications, and digital content strategy.
- Familiarity with AI-powered content creation tools and modern communication platforms.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Experience in events, experiential marketing, media, advertising, or creative agencies will be highly preferred.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
