Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled AutoPLANT 3D / CADWorx Designer with 2–3 years of relevant experience in plant engineering and piping design. The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D piping models, generating piping layouts and deliverables, and coordinating with engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D piping models using AutoPLANT 3D and/or CADWorx.
- Prepare piping layouts, equipment layouts, and piping arrangements as per project requirements.
- Create and update Isometric Drawings, GA drawings, and piping plans.
- Work with piping specifications, equipment data, and project design standards.
- Perform routing of pipes considering accessibility, constructability, and design requirements.
- Generate MTO/BOM and other piping-related project deliverables.
- Review 3D models for design accuracy and identify clashes/interferences.
- Coordinate with piping, mechanical, civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
- Incorporate design changes and comments received from clients and project engineers.
- Maintain project drawings and models as per company and client standards.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed within the project schedule and quality requirements.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in Plant 3D / Piping Design.
- Hands-on experience in AutoPLANT 3D and/or CADWorx.
- Good understanding of piping layouts, piping components, and plant design.
- Knowledge of piping isometrics and GA drawings.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of piping specifications and design standards.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience working on Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, or Process Plant projects will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and other plant-design software will be preferred.
