Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Movie Subtitler with 2+ years of experience in creating, editing, and synchronizing subtitles for movies, TV shows, and digital entertainment content. The ideal candidate should possess excellent language proficiency, strong attention to detail, and experience working with professional subtitling tools.
Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and synchronize subtitles for movies and video content.
Ensure accurate translation, grammar, punctuation, and subtitle timing.
Adapt dialogues while maintaining the original meaning and cultural context.
Follow client-specific subtitle guidelines and industry standards.
Perform quality checks to ensure subtitle accuracy and readability.
Coordinate with translation, localization, and quality assurance teams.
Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
Required Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in movie/TV subtitling or localization.
Strong proficiency in English and one or more regional/international languages.
Experience with subtitling tools such as Aegisub, Subtitle Edit, EZTitles, OOONA, or similar.
Knowledge of subtitle timing, spotting, and formatting standards.
Excellent proofreading and linguistic skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with OTT platforms, film production houses, or localization companies.
Knowledge of transcription and translation processes.
Understanding of cultural adaptation and localization best practices.
