Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Electrical Sales Assistant to join our store. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a willingness to learn about electrical products, and a passion for helping customers choose the right solutions. The role involves assisting customers, managing store operations, handling inventory, and providing basic technical guidance on electrical products.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service
- Welcome and assist customers in selecting electrical products, appliances, lighting, wiring accessories, switches, cables, and other related items.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Explain product features, specifications, pricing, and benefits.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support professionally.
- Build positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
Product Knowledge & Technical Assistance
- Provide basic technical information about electrical products and their applications.
- Assist customers in identifying compatible products and accessories.
- Ensure products are tested (where applicable) and in proper working condition before delivery.
- Stay updated on new products, brands, and industry trends.
Inventory & Store Operations
- Maintain stock records and assist with inventory management.
- Receive, organize, and replenish stock as required.
- Ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the store manager for stock replenishment.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and customer-friendly.
Billing & Order Management
- Assist with billing, order processing, and payment collection.
- Prepare customer quotations and invoices when required.
- Track customer orders and coordinate timely deliveries.
Quality & Safety
- Follow safety guidelines while handling electrical products and equipment.
- Ensure all products are stored safely and handled properly.
- Conduct routine checks to maintain product quality and store standards.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or an electrical store is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical products and accessories is an advantage.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Good organizational and inventory management skills.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to work.
- ITI, Diploma in Electrical, or relevant experience is an added advantage.
