About the Role
Centrim Global is looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead / Test Engineering Lead to take ownership of the quality and automated testing strategy for our SaaS product.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. We are looking for someone who can design, build and maintain a comprehensive automated testing framework and establish strong quality standards across the product development lifecycle.
Important: This Is NOT a Manual Testing Position
This role requires strong, hands-on expertise in test automation.
If your experience is primarily manual testing, or you have only basic exposure to automation tools without actually building and maintaining automated testing frameworks, please do not apply for this position.
What You’ll Do
Own the overall QA and test automation strategy
Design, build and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks
Develop automated test coverage for web, mobile, backend and APIs
Build and maintain end-to-end automated testing using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent
Develop backend automated tests using Pest / PHPUnit
Implement automated testing for React web applications
Implement automated testing for React Native mobile applications across iOS and Android
Build comprehensive API and integration test automation
Establish automated functional, regression, smoke and integration testing
Implement database, data-integrity, role and permission testing
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
Establish automated quality gates for pull requests and releases
Implement performance and load testing
Analyse defects and work closely with developers on root-cause identification
Ensure significant defects are converted into permanent automated regression tests
Identify test coverage gaps and continuously improve automation coverage
Maintain test plans, test cases, automation documentation and QA reports
Lead, mentor and establish best practices for the QA team
Actively contribute to sprint planning, reviews and release readiness
AI-Assisted Test Automation
Practical experience using AI within software testing and test automation is a key requirement for this role.
We are looking for someone who understands how modern AI tools and AI agents can be applied to:
Generate and improve test cases and scenarios
Accelerate automated test-script development
Identify test coverage gaps
Generate test data
Analyse failed tests, logs and defects
Assist with root-cause analysis
Maintain and optimise automated tests
Accelerate regression testing
Improve overall QA productivity and release confidence
We are looking for practical implementation capability, not simply theoretical knowledge of AI.
Mandatory Technical Experience
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with:
PHP Laravel application testing
React web application testing
React Native mobile application testing
Playwright / Cypress / Selenium
Pest / PHPUnit
API automation / Postman
Appium / Maestro / Detox or equivalent mobile automation tools
Jest / Vitest / React Testing Library or equivalent
AI-assisted testing and automation tools
Git and pull-request workflows
CI/CD automated testing
GitHub Actions / Bitbucket Pipelines or equivalent
SQL and database testing
Performance/load testing – k6, JMeter or equivalent
Automated regression, integration, functional and smoke testing
Test planning and test-case design
Defect management and root-cause analysis
Agile/Scrum SaaS product development
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on technical QA leader, not someone who only manages a testing team.
The successful candidate should be capable of understanding a complex SaaS product, identifying quality and test-coverage gaps, designing the right automation architecture and personally contributing to the implementation.
You should be passionate about building an automation-first quality culture where testing is integrated throughout development rather than performed only at the end of a release.
Experience establishing or significantly improving automation within an existing SaaS product will be highly regarded.
