About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on, and trustworthy Factory General Manager to take complete ownership of our granite manufacturing facility.
This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for the factory—from sourcing granite blocks to delivering finished slabs ready for export. The successful candidate will oversee every aspect of factory operations, ensuring maximum productivity, high-quality production, efficient resource utilization, machinery reliability, disciplined workforce management, and continuous profitability.
We are looking for a long-term leader who will treat the factory as their own business, make sound commercial decisions, and lead the team with integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
Key ResponsibilitiesFactory Operations
- Take complete ownership of all factory operations from block procurement to finished slab dispatch.
- Plan and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Maximize factory productivity and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Granite Block Procurement
- Identify and procure high-quality granite blocks at competitive prices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with quarry owners and suppliers.
- Inspect and evaluate block quality before purchase.
- Optimize block selection to maximize slab recovery and profitability.
Production Management
- Oversee block cutting, slab processing, polishing, quality inspection, packing, and dispatch.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of customer orders.
- Minimize material wastage and improve block recovery.
- Ensure consistent product quality that meets export standards.
Machinery & Maintenance
- Manage all factory machinery including gangsaws, polishing lines, bridge cutters, EOT cranes, forklifts, compressors, and material handling equipment.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Minimize machine breakdowns and downtime.
- Plan maintenance schedules and manage spare parts inventory.
Quality Control
- Maintain the highest standards of product quality.
- Reduce defects, breakages, and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Workforce Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate factory staff.
- Maintain discipline, productivity, attendance, and teamwork.
- Build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage granite block inventory, finished slabs, consumables, packing materials, and spare parts.
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Reduce wastage of materials, electricity, water, and consumables.
Dispatch & Logistics
- Ensure proper packing and container loading.
- Coordinate dispatch schedules with the sales and logistics teams.
- Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time.
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation and operational records.
- Oversee housekeeping, security, and general factory administration.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Report production performance, machine utilization, inventory levels, maintenance status, and key operational metrics to management.
- Recommend improvements to increase profitability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in granite or natural stone manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior factory management role.
- Proven experience managing the complete operations of a granite slab manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of granite block procurement, production planning, polishing, quality control, packing, and dispatch.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Strong commercial understanding of factory profitability and cost control.
- High level of integrity, honesty, accountability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of factory operations.
- Work from the factory in Chimakurthy is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with quarry owners and granite block suppliers.
- Experience managing gangsaws, polishing lines, bridge cutters, EOT cranes, forklifts, and factory maintenance.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and production optimization.
- Fluency in English is required. Telugu and Hindi are an advantage.

Interview Process
This is a factory-based position located in Chimakurthy, Andhra Pradesh. However, all initial interviews and the selection process will be conducted at our Head Office in Hyderabad. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to visit the factory as part of the final selection process.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
