Job Purpose
To lead, plan, organize, direct, and control all manufacturing and plant operations to achieve business objectives in the areas of productivity, quality, delivery, cost, safety, compliance, and people development while ensuring customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Plan, organize, direct, and manage all plant operations to ensure efficient and uninterrupted production.
- Achieve and exceed targets related to productivity, yield, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions to improve results.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources.
Production and Delivery
- Ensure adherence to production plans and customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvement measures.
Quality Management
- Establish and maintain robust Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous quality improvement and reduction of defects, rework, and rejection rates.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives.
Cost Management
- Develop and implement cost reduction and waste elimination programs.
- Monitor manufacturing costs and improve operational profitability.
- Control consumption of raw materials, utilities, and other operating expenses.
Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Foster a strong safety culture across the plant.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure corrective action closure for all identified safety concerns.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, legal, labor, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with government authorities and external auditors as required.
- Maintain all mandatory records, licenses, and certifications.
Human Resource Management
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of employees.
- Conduct performance appraisals and succession planning.
- Develop employee skills and competencies through structured training programs.
- Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
- Build a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and other operational excellence initiatives.

- Identify process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Asset Management
- Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Required Qualifications

Experience

- Minimum 5 years in a leadership position managing a manufacturing plant.
- Strong exposure to Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS functions.
