Job Purpose
To supervise and execute pharmaceutical production activities as per approved SOPs, BMR/BPR, GMP requirements, safety standards, and the production plan while ensuring quality, productivity, and timely batch completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day production activities as per the approved production plan.
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment as per SOPs and batch manufacturing records.
- Follow all GMP, GLP, safety, and company procedures during manufacturing operations.
- Ensure accurate recording of all manufacturing activities in BMR/BPR and relevant logbooks.
- Monitor critical process parameters during manufacturing.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Engineering, and other departments for smooth production activities.
- Ensure proper dispensing, sifting, blending, granulation, compression, coating, encapsulation, and other applicable manufacturing processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the production area and equipment.
- Ensure line clearance before starting manufacturing activities.
- Report any deviations, breakdowns, process abnormalities, or quality issues to the Production Manager and QA.
- Minimize production losses, material wastage, and machine downtime.
- Ensure proper identification and status labeling of materials, equipment, and products.
- Assist in investigation of production-related deviations, OOS/OOT, and CAPA activities whenever required.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of rejected, excess, or unused materials.
- Follow safety procedures while handling raw materials, chemicals, machinery, and pharmaceutical products.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining proper production documentation and compliance.
- Train and guide operators/helpers regarding SOPs, GMP, safety, and production procedures.
- Monitor manpower allocation and ensure effective utilization of production personnel.
- Maintain production records, equipment logbooks, cleaning records, and other required documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
Qualification
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or equivalent qualification as applicable to the role.
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP requirements.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience in OSD (Tablets/Capsules) manufacturing will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical production procedures.
- Knowledge of BMR/BPR and production documentation.
- Good understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage production activities and manpower.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in shifts when required.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
