Job Summary
The Security Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all security operations to ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, facilities, and company assets. The role includes supervising security personnel, conducting risk assessments, enforcing security policies, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate security officers and staff.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and recommend improvements.
- Monitor CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Investigate security incidents, accidents, thefts, and policy violations.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, including fire, medical, and evacuation plans.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and regulatory authorities when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
- Prepare security reports, incident documentation, and management updates.
- Manage security budgets, equipment, and vendor contracts.
- Perform regular security audits and inspections of company premises.
- Promote security awareness among employees through training and communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in security management or a similar leadership role.
- Knowledge of security operations, surveillance systems, access control, and emergency response procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions during emergencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management software.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
- Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Fire Safety or Emergency Response certification
