Job Description – BIM Engineer (Bentley AECOsim / OpenBuildings Designer)

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled BIM Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in Bentley AECOsim / OpenBuildings Designer (OBD) and MicroStation. The role involves delivering high-quality BIM models and drawings, supporting project coordination, and ensuring compliance with BIM standards across building and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage 2D/3D/4D BIM models using AECOsim / OBD and MicroStation.
Prepare detailed shop drawings aligned with project specifications.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support clash detection/resolution.
Collaborate with cross-discipline teams and assist in BIM input for tenders/proposals.
Ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and internal quality standards.
Support quantity take-off, scheduling, and model audits throughout project stages.
Assist in BIM content/library development and standardized workflows.
Provide technical support to junior team members and keep updated with latest Bentley advancements.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Bentley AECOsim / OpenBuildings Designer (OBD) & MicroStation.
Knowledge of OpenSite / OpenRail Designer (preferred, not mandatory).
Familiarity with clash detection and 4D sequencing; Navisworks is a plus.
Understanding of BIM standards (ISO 19650 / BS 1192 / PAS 1192).
Strong communication, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
2–3 years of relevant BIM experience using Bentley platforms.
Experience on large-scale building / infrastructure projects preferred.
