We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth strategies and expand our market footprint. In this role, you will be responsible for pitching corporate event solutions, acquiring high-value clients, and securing sponsorships for large-scale events, exhibitions, and brand activations. The ideal candidate possesses a robust network of corporate decision-makers, a deep understanding of experiential marketing, and a proven track record of hitting aggressive sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Acquisition & Revenue Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold outreach, industry networking, and targeted prospecting.
- Onboard new clients across corporate, brand, tech, and public sectors to consistently hit quarterly revenue goals.
- Pitch end-to-end event services including corporate conferences, product launches, exhibitions, and internal team activations.
- Secure sponsorships and partnerships for proprietary events, trade shows, and intellectual properties (IPs)
2. Proposal Development & Client Pitching
- Translate client briefs into creative, high-impact experiential event concepts alongside internal design and tech teams.
- Create winning proposals, accurate commercial estimations, and persuasive pitch decks.
- Lead client presentations and confidently articulate the company's value proposition to CXOs and marketing heads.
- Negotiate pricing contracts and legal commercial terms to ensure optimal profit margins and strict corporate adherence
3. Relationship Management & Ecosystem Networking
- Nurture long-term alliances with corporate marketing managers, procurement teams, and PR agencies to ensure repeat business.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, industrial seminars, and executive networking mixers.
- Build strategic partnerships with venue partners, tech providers, and production houses to expand service capabilities
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of active business development experience specifically within a reputable event management or experiential marketing agency.
- Industry Network: Existing, verifiable relationships with corporate brand stakeholders and procurement heads.
- Core Sales Skills: Exceptional negotiation, consultative selling, closing techniques, and pipeline management via CRM software.
- Communication: Masterful written and verbal English communication, storytelling capabilities, and public presentation poise.
- Tech Savvy: Highly proficient in generating visually striking decks using Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, or Google Slides.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently for on-site client meetings and manage extended hours during critical event execution phases.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- New Client Acquisition: Number of brand accounts successfully onboarded per quarter.
- Sales Target Achievement: Value of closed sales contracts against assigned revenue quotas.
- Pipeline Conversion Rate: Speed and efficiency of turning inbound briefs/leads into confirmed contracts.
- Client Retention: Percentage of accounts retained for recurring multi-event contracts
