Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations of the jewellery showroom, driving sales growth, ensuring exceptional customer experience, managing the store team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and achieving business objectives. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a customer-first mindset while ensuring compliance with company policies and security standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Drive store sales to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Monitor daily sales performance and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure achievement of individual and team sales KPIs.
- Increase average billing value and customer conversion rate.
- Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop store employees.
- Conduct daily team briefings and performance reviews.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor productivity.
- Motivate employees to achieve business goals.
- Manage attendance, leave planning, shift scheduling, and discipline.
- Foster a positive, high-performance work culture.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives a premium shopping experience.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve complaints professionally.
- Build long-term customer relationships.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Support VIP customer interactions and special orders.
Store Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the showroom.
- Ensure adherence to opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of the store.
- Monitor store maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all operational SOPs are followed.
Inventory Management
- Supervise stock management and inventory accuracy.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations.
- Monitor stock movement, transfers, and replenishment.
- Minimize stock discrepancies and losses.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and merchandising teams.
Visual Merchandising
- Ensure jewellery displays meet Company VM standards.
- Plan product placement to maximize sales.
- Maintain attractive and well-organized display counters.
- Coordinate with the Visual Merchandising team for seasonal campaigns.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Monitor billing accuracy and cash handling procedures.
- Review daily sales reports and business performance.
- Control store expenses and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
- Coordinate with Accounts, HR, and Operations departments.
HR & Employee Management
- Conduct employee performance evaluations.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
- Ensure compliance with grooming and uniform standards.
- Address employee concerns and maintain discipline.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
- Follow all jewellery security protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Report incidents, losses, or security concerns immediately.
