Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled microbiologist to support the development, production, and quality control of biofertilizers and biopesticides. The role involves microbial culture handling, product formulation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain microbial cultures used in biofertilizers and biopesticides (e.g., Rhizobium, Azotobacter, Trichoderma)
Perform microbiological testing, including microbial enumeration, sterility testing, and pathogen detection
Develop and implement testing protocols and quality control procedures
Carry out mass multiplication and formulation of microbial products
Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and contamination-free batches
Maintain proper documentation of lab results, batch records, and quality reports
Ensure compliance with hygiene standards, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with production and R&D teams to improve product performance
Provide technical support for field application and product usage
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field
Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and lab practices
Experience in microbial culture handling and fermentation processes
Understanding of quality control and regulatory standards
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in biofertilizer or biopesticide production
Knowledge of agricultural microbiology and soil health
Familiarity with industrial or commercial cleaning products is mostly considered.
