Associate Manager
The Legal Counsel – Artificial Intelligence & Data is a permanent and full-time Associate Manager role to support the Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Data business within Accenture Technology. The successful candidate will possess strong legal expertise in technology-related matters, including software, SaaS and emerging AI solutions, and will work closely with business, legal and asset teams to support the development, assessment and commercialization of AI & Data offerings. The role is part of Accenture’s Global Services Legal (GSL) organization, whose mission is to drive sustainable business growth by providing deep legal expertise at the intersection of business strategy, industry and technology in a highly dynamic environment.

Support the Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Data business team within Accenture Technology by conducting assessments of new services, products and offerings, and provide product counsel support as solutions are prepared for market launch.

Develop subject matter expertise in AI & Data and act as a key point of contact, together with other members of the team, for business and asset teams.

Collaborate with legal colleagues across multiple practice areas, including Resale, Strategic Partnering, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Regulatory and Contracting teams.

Support Contracting teams as product counsel and subject matter expert regarding templates, playbooks and selected transactional matters.

Support Accenture Ventures & Acquisitions legal and business teams in evaluating prospective AI & Data acquisition targets.

Conduct legal research and support analysis on emerging technology, regulatory and business issues.

Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of legal processes, tools and operational efficiency initiatives.

Prepare guidance materials, presentations, workplans and knowledge resources to support legal and business stakeholders.

Maintain awareness of legal, regulatory and industry developments affecting emerging technologies, including large language models (LLMs), generative AI and agentic AI solutions.

Must have the ability to effectively work with global teams across multiple jurisdictions and time zones including those in the western United States.

Contract Management – Intellectual Property Law

Graduate Law Degree (JD) or equivalent legal qualification as appropriate for the certifying jurisdiction. Admission and good standing with applicable bar association(s) or local equivalent.

Additional qualifications or certifications related to technology, intellectual property, AI or data protection are advantageous.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm environment PQE (or equivalent).

Experience advising on software, technology and AI-related legal matters.

Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating technology-related contracts.

Familiarity with emerging AI technologies, data-driven products and digital business models.

Experience working with cross-functional and multinational teams.

Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Experience supporting complex business initiatives involving technology, innovation or product development is preferred.
