JOB PURPOSE
The Store Manager is responsible for the safe storage, handling, and accurate inventory management of all raw materials, packaging, consumables, and equipment held in the storage facility. The role ensures optimal stock availability for store/kitchen operations, minimizes wastage and pilferage, and maintains accurate, audit-ready inventory records at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & Stock Management
▪ Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records for all raw materials, packaging, consumables, and equipment stored in the warehouse.
▪ Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile against system/ERP records; investigate and resolve variances.
▪ Monitor stock ageing and expiry (FIFO/FEFO) to minimize spoilage, wastage, and dead stock.
▪ Set and monitor minimum/maximum stock levels and reorder points in coordination with procurement and operations teams.
▪ Maintain a systematic bin/rack/location numbering system for easy identification, storage, and retrieval of materials.
Receiving, Dispatch & Documentation
▪ Supervise inward receipt of materials — verifying quantity, quality, and specifications against purchase orders and delivery challans.
▪ Oversee outward dispatch of materials to stores/outlets/production units, ensuring accuracy against indent requests.
▪ Maintain complete documentation — GRNs, stock registers, issue slips, delivery challans, and return notes — for every transaction.
▪ Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the inventory management system/ERP for all stock movements.
Warehouse Operations & Space Management
▪ Plan and optimize warehouse layout for efficient storage, movement, and space utilization.
▪ Ensure proper stacking, labelling, and segregation of materials by category, batch, and storage requirement (dry, cold, hazardous, etc.).
▪ Coordinate with logistics/transport teams to schedule inbound and outbound material movement efficiently.
▪ Maintain warehouse equipment (pallet trucks, racks, weighing scales, etc.) in good working condition.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
▪ Ensure storage practices comply with FSSAI, food safety, and statutory warehousing norms applicable to the material category.
▪ Enforce housekeeping, pest control, and hygiene standards across the storage facility.
▪ Implement and monitor safety protocols for material handling, fire safety, and equipment operation.
▪ Support internal and external audits with accurate records and full facility readiness.
Team & Vendor Coordination
▪ Supervise and allocate work to storekeepers, helpers, and loading/unloading staff.
▪ Train store staff on inventory procedures, safe handling practices, and use of the inventory system.
▪ Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and the procurement team to resolve delivery or quality issues.
▪ Prepare and submit periodic inventory, wastage, and stock-ageing reports to management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
▪ Graduate in any discipline; a diploma/degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Materials Management is preferred.
▪ 3–6 years of experience in warehouse, stores, or inventory management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity.
▪ Prior experience handling perishable/F&B raw materials or FMCG inventory is strongly preferred.
▪ Working knowledge of inventory/ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar) is required.

WORK CONDITIONS
▪ Warehouse-based role requiring physical presence on the storage floor for most of the shift.
▪ May require extended hours during high-volume receiving/dispatch periods, stock audits, or month-end closing.
▪ Involves exposure to varied storage environments (dry storage, cold storage, loading/unloading areas).
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
