The
Credit Controller is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring invoices are validated and submitted accurately, collecting outstanding debt, and maintaining strong customer relationships to support business cash flow and financial performance.
- Invoice Validation & Processing: Review invoices, supporting documentation, purchase orders, and approvals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Invoice Submission Management: Submit invoices via customer portals and billing systems while resolving any submission issues.
- Debt Management & Collections: Actively manage outstanding debt, follow up on overdue invoices, and secure payment commitments.
- Cash Allocation & Reconciliation: Allocate customer payments accurately and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor aged debt, track collections performance, and support month-end reporting activities.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and clients to resolve invoicing and payment queries efficiently.

- Credit Control Experience: Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Collections.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of invoicing, billing processes, and debt collection practices.
- Communication Skills: Confident negotiator with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when processing invoices and cash allocations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/Finance systems.
- Organised & Resilient: Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Experience (Desirable): Experience within recruitment, staffing, workforce solutions, or professional services.
