Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and technically sound Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations for static and process equipment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the fabrication of high-precision equipment and a proven track record of managing shop floor activities to meet strict quality and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Production Planning & Execution: Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process for Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, and Storage Tanks.
• Resource Management: Efficiently allocate manpower, machinery, and materials to ensure optimal productivity and minimal downtime.
• Technical Supervision: Ensure all fabrication work aligns with engineering drawings, GA drawings, and international codes (ASME, API, etc.).
• Quality Control: Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure zero-defect production and adherence to welding standards (WPS/PQR).
• Shop Floor Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of fitters, welders, and technicians; maintain strict adherence to safety protocols (HSE).
• Timeline Management: Monitor project progress against the production schedule and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement Lean or Kaizen methodologies to improve efficiency.
Required Expertise & Skills
• Core Technical Knowledge: Specialized experience in fabricating Static Equipment (specifically Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels).
• Material Proficiency: Experience working with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Alloy Steels.
• Fabrication Skills: Strong understanding of welding processes (TIG, MIG, SAW), rolling, forming, and hydro-testing procedures.
• Software/Tools: Ability to interpret complex AutoCAD drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Leadership: Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle high-pressure production environments.
Candidate Profile
• Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Experience: 4 to 6 years of core experience in a heavy fabrication or process equipment industry.
