Role: Display & Visual Merchandising Executive
Job Summary
Responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining attractive visual displays and product presentations across the textile showroom. The role ensures that sarees, fabrics, garments, accessories, and seasonal collections are presented in a visually appealing manner that reflects the brand image, improves customer experience, and supports sales.
Key ResponsibilitiesVisual Merchandising & Display
· Plan and execute attractive displays for sarees, silk collections, fabrics, garments, dress materials, jewellery, accessories, and seasonal products.
· Create visually appealing product arrangements based on color, fabric, design, price range, collection, and customer segment.
· Develop display concepts for wedding, bridal, festive, seasonal, and new-arrival collections.
· Ensure showroom displays reflect current fashion trends and brand guidelines.
· Plan and execute window displays, entrance displays, feature areas, counters, mannequins, racks, shelves, and promotional zones.
· Coordinate product placement to highlight new arrivals, premium collections, best sellers, and promotional products.
· Ensure products are properly folded, arranged, tagged, and presented.
· Regularly rotate displays to maintain freshness and encourage repeat customer interest.
· Ensure adequate stock is available for displayed products and coordinate replenishment with the Inventory/Warehouse Team.
· Maintain consistency in display standards across different showroom sections and branches.
Textile-Specific Display
· Arrange sarees and fabrics according to color families, patterns, weaving styles, collections, occasions, and price segments.
· Create coordinated displays combining sarees, blouse materials, dupattas, jewellery, bags, and other accessories.
· Highlight special textile features such as silk, handloom, embroidery, zari work, prints, weaving techniques, and craftsmanship.
· Ensure premium and high-value collections receive appropriate presentation and controlled display handling.
· Develop attractive styling combinations to help customers visualize complete looks.
Seasonal & Promotional Activities
· Plan displays for Diwali, Pongal, Onam, Navratri, weddings, festivals, and other seasonal campaigns, as applicable.
· Support new collection launches and promotional events.
· Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Teams for promotional signage, banners, posters, and campaign materials.
· Ensure promotional displays are updated according to campaign timelines.
· Remove outdated promotional materials and maintain a clean, premium showroom appearance.
Store Coordination
· Coordinate with Showroom Manager, Sales, Styling, CRM, Inventory, Jewellery, Marketing, and Operations Teams.
· Work with designers, vendors, fabricators, and printing agencies for display materials.
· Monitor availability and condition of display fixtures, mannequins, lighting, signage, props, and other VM materials.
· Conduct regular showroom inspections and identify areas requiring improvement.
· Ensure display areas are clean, organized, safe, and free from damaged or outdated materials.
· Maintain records of display plans, layouts, props, materials, and visual guidelines.
· Support VM audits and ensure compliance with company standards.
Requirement :
· Experience in visual merchandising, preferably in textile, fashion, saree, or premium retail showrooms.
· Strong knowledge of color coordination, styling, fabrics, fashion trends, and retail presentation.
· Creative thinking and strong visual sense.
· Good understanding of customer behavior and retail display principles.
· Knowledge of display planning, mannequins, lighting, signage, props, and space utilization.
· Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Canva, or similar design tools is preferred.
· Good communication and coordination skills.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines, particularly during festive and seasonal launches.
· Willingness to travel between branches/showrooms when required.
